The visit to ex-UIC and Bert 17 on November 1, 2019, was to boost the morale of workers.

This is a routine practice instituted by Mr Forgwei Alfred Mbeng, CEO of Cameroon Shipyard and Industrial Engineering Ltd since he took over the baton of command some five years ago. However, the latest outing was triggered by the accident that involved Kano 25 crane during working hours at the ex-UIC production unit one week ago.

In the company of the Production Manager, Mr Pamboundam Mama, the CEO went to ex-UIC before heading to Berth 17 where some projects notably Liliana Carnero and Port Life were on board docks 500T and 10 000T, respectively.

The GM did not have the opportunity to address workers, but they could be seen waving at him with a lot of excitement.
